I have been mixing it up with a number of ministries in recent weeks around the country. I have been convinced that a great outreach card is vital for a long time but recently I have grown even more set on doing a bang up job on cards. If we have a decent outreach we need to accompany that with a great looking (and feeling) card. One truth I have been seeing consistently lately is that if we have an excellent outreach card we will gain credibility with those we connect with. Churches that are smaller can look like they have their act together when they give out an amazing looking card. On the other hand if we don't do our cards well we will communicate to our city we are flying by the seat of our pants.

As you may know we feel so strongly about doing cards well we have begun to print cards for others. The total time required to turn around a printing project is about a week. The price difference between a well done card and one that isn't so great is minimal.

Now that outreach season is coming into focus with better weather perhaps it is time to update your outreach profile. Let's put forth our best efforts and show our city that we are willing to step out and pay the price to deeply connect with people.
