Everything in life and ministry goes better with momentum resting upon us. It is also true that life seems to go slowly and painfully past us when we lack momentum. Is it possible to contribute to our current "mo"? Absolutely we can help our mo' move forward - and we can get in the way of it as well.

As we go into our community armed with actions of generosity, kindness and just a willingness to serve we literally create momentum.

I have seen momentum stirred up many times with the mere small action of serving strangers. We don't need to have a big plan in hand. All we need is something to serve or to give to our neighbors. There is an instantaneous response in the spiritual realm as we step out to serve.

If I were facing a lack of the sense of God's presence I would do something - anything possible to get attitudes aimed beyond our small lives. We are boring. Those outside the reach of God right now - they are exciting. Let's reach out to them today somehow. It's not that difficult to do - and it's a blast to pull off. Then watch out - momentum will be right around the corner.
