Toilet Team Specifics
Steve Sjogren - December 23, 2009

Last week I encouraged you to look into putting together teams to clean restrooms. Let's look at what it takes to go out to connect through these teams.
It is best to have teams comprised of 2 to 3 per team. You want to have as high a ratio of men to women on these teams as possible. It seems that women are easier to trust than men as managers of these places first meet up with your teams.

Put together a cleaning kit with all the basics you normally need to clean your toilet at home. I recommend you go with one kit per person - you can share kits but things go smoother with each person having their own kit.

Make sure you have plenty of outreach cards to go around. You will be turned down as you step out to serve. Leave an outreach card with each location you serve at. The name of the game here is connections. Give those who turn you down a card along with the words, "Well here's who we are so when we come back you will know of us. See you soon!"

Don't forget to pray as you go out - pray for favor, open hearts and chances to connect with the city in strong ways.
