A nudge forward

“We are all becoming someone new each day…”
The Power of Coaching on One Solitary Life… One of the oldest adages passed from generation to generation is that “God is the father of the fatherless and the husband of the widow…” My dad was a highly successful business-man who quickly rose to the top of his field in the mid-to-late 1960s. From age five on, in spite of his jammed schedule, he took the time to spend an hour or two taking long drives with me in the country doing what I now realize was life coaching. He dreamed with me. He spoke words of encouragement and blessing over my life. Instead of attempting to live out his life vicariously through me, he helped me to begin to jump onto the path of self-discovery to see what I was uniquely about and what on Planet Earth I had been made to do. I call that time “350 Saturdays.” That was exactly how many coaching sessions we had until he suddenly came down with what seemed like simple pneumonia, but turned out to be lung cancer. Five weeks later, a month after his 39th birthday, he passed away. Nevertheless, the momentum had begun! Not long before he died, while on heavy doses of morphine, he whispered into my twelve year old ear, “Seek out coaches and you will do well…” I have done just that. I have paid many tens of thousands of dollars in coaching fees, the best I could find in given fields, probably ten coaches in the area of communications alone. But now, ten thousand messages later, as one of the few in the US who have given so many messages, it is a no-brainer that every penny of those investments in coaching was like buying into a Warren Buffet-style investment and then some! Click here for the video: The Importance of Having a Coach. Why Coaching? For the first time, we are excited to offer coaching on a large scale to those connected to the vision of the outward focused life. To put it succinctly, without coaching, you will never come close to reaching your potential as a leader. We all ultimately become like those we spend time with. Without being coached by a gifted leader who has, as they say, “Been there, done that,” before you, it is essentially impossible to pull a rabbit out of your hat and create something out of nothing. Most highly successful people have at least one thing in common: they have had a string of coaches in their life development. If you read the biographies of influential leaders, all of them have coaches who have entered their lives at various points.
