5 Kindness Outreach Projects for Fall
Kindness Outreach is more than just being nice to people. It is demonstrating the grace and mercy of God toward an individual in a practical way. We serve with an attitude of humility and love. Our words should be, "We're here to show you God's love in a practical way." Acts of kindness expressed by genuine love reaches the heart. Most people will remember your deeds of kindness much more than the words you speak. Also, serving others affects the heart of the believer. God impacts our lives when we see and sense the needs around us. Both young and old can express God's love and kindness through a simple act of humble service. LEAF RAKING There's safety in numbers. When it comes to serving by raking leaves, the more the merrier, and the lighter the load. Find the yards in your part of town that have a lot of leaves, and if the city sweeps up the leaves from the curb, all the better. With rakes in hand, go in teams from door to door and literally sweep through neighborhoods. This is best done with more than one group teaming up... . . . keep reading

Two Great Summer Outreach Projects

Two Great Summer Outreach Projects Summer is a symphony of sounds. It could be the sounds of birds singing, children playing, fireworks, the crashing crescendo of a summer thunderstorm, or the solid sound of a base hit up the gap at the ball park. Did you know that the Hebrew word Mitzvah, actually means doing an act of kindness in God's name? In fact, the tradition holds that you worship and connect with God best, when you love those around you! . . . keep reading

[DOWNLOAD] What Do We Say When Doing Outreach?
Janie Sjogren
[DOWNLOAD] What Do We Say When Doing Outreach? Our audience is the not-yet-Christian world that is dying to hear and experience a word from God, some bit of evidence that God is real, authentic, and honest, and that God is for them. They have a dream of that sort of God in their heart, and are just waiting for us to show them some sort of evidence to confirm their dream. We all can be both dream-fulfillers and dreamers. . . . keep reading

Upgrade Your Messages -- Call Your Community
Steve Sjogren
Upgrade Your Messages -- Call Your Community Any church launcher who hopes to connect with the community is in need of becoming a great communicator as soon as possible if not sooner! When I first began launching, five plants ago, I didn't understand this simple truth. None of my coaches understood this I now realize because none of them were able to coach others in the art and skill of connecting with a crowd in weekend settings. The good news - we can do better now! . . . keep reading
Fishing As A Commercial Fleet...defining normal
Steve Sjogren
Fishing As A Commercial Fleet...defining normal What is your notion of "normal" when it comes to outreach? Do you think it is normal to see people come to know Jesus only on an occasional basis? Or do you have a bigger vision that allows for many to come into the kingdom on a regular basis? Our paradigm for seeing ourselves in the process of God is the key to seeing clearly. We are the ones God is using to populate his family. We need to see ourselves in the same light as God sees us if are to be effective in outreach. . . . keep reading

 TESTIMONIALS

ServeCoach has been indispensable in helping us lead the church to be more outward focused. The interviews, resources, ideas have all generated an excitement about "showing God's love in practical ways, no strings attached" by doing acts of kindness. Keep up the good work.

Here's the deal. I was really feeling defeated and bummed. I got connected to this website and I feel like I've been revived. I felt like there was only one other person in my entire church that really understood how I was feeling because he was feeling the same way. I watched an interview and am working on another one and boy was it just what I needed to see and hear. I had all but given up, but now I have renewed hope and I'm hanging in there! So thanks Serve Coach team!

Whether you're just starting out or have been doing outreach for years, ServeCoach is a fantastic site. There are so many resources and ideas, I can barely keep up. I first joined thinking I would look through everything, get what I needed, and cancel after a month.  But ServeCoach has proven to have much more than I thought, and very valuable to the ministry I serve in.

Steve Sjogren has been coaching leaders for as long as I’ve known him over twenty-plus years. He’s a catalytic leader, challenging “status quo” views of everything from church growth to evangelism methodologies to leadership paradigms.

Steve’s hyper-creativity and genuine love for “not-yet-believers” provide the one-two punch for effective ministry. I’ll never forget the words of a churchplanter who once told me, “After spending time with Steve, I always feel more courageous!”

And who wouldn’t want to be mentored by The Father of Servant Evangelism?
Dave Workman

I first heard of Steve Sjogren when my wife read his first book, Conspiracy of Kindness and got fired up about water giveaways and it ignited us to find more ways to serve our community and the people around us. We just got our hands on anything that would be of a value to anyone else and gave it away - Just to show God's love in a practical way and told people, if there is anything you need let us know - no strings attached... and here we are, 14 years later! That is a timeless truth - Showing God's love in practical ways with no strings attached.

Steve has helped create this culture of serving - doing what it takes to show people God's love in practical ways. We have seen a lot of people come to Christ and made the decision to cross that line in faith... I think this is due to people getting outside the walls of the church and these creative serving ideas - a lot of them came right out of things that Steve has taught us. Just reaching into the community and making a difference. We get up in the morning thinking about who is hurting, who has loss, who is going through something and how can we figure out a way to let them know that they matter to God. That is what Servant Evangelism is all about!

Steve’s out-of-the-box thinking and decades of real-world practice makes him a Christian leader worth listening to. Pay attention to Steve; the church will never be the same.

I’ve known Steve Sjogren for over two decades as a friend, a very successful church planter, and a massively influential leader not only among American churches, but across the world.

Steve’s passionate focus on moving the church outward into the community and his contagious enthusiasm for reaching lost people has influenced my life and the lives of thousands of other pastors and leaders.

Steve’s out-of-the-box thinking and decades of real-world practice makes him a Christian leader worth listening to.  Pay attention to Steve; the church will never be the same.
